Southeast Asian based RedFOX Labs is launching a first-of-its-kind NFT sale of the Miss Universe Philippines NFT Collection on September 24, 2021. This unique NFT collection celebrates the beauty, empowerment, and grace of the Miss Universe Philippine contestants, using cutting-edge NFT technology.
The launch of the Miss Universe Philippines NFT Collection showcases RedFOX Labs’ NFT Marketplace, a Roblox equivalent for the creation and distribution of NFTs or Non-Fungible Tokens, provides a truly world-first opportunity for celebrities and high-profile Miss Universe Philippines contestants to link their content to the globally exploding NFT space, introducing new forms of growth revenue streams. The RedFOX Labs NFT Marketplace has been operational and ready for the NFT launch, which was originally slated for September 15, 2021.
The new date for the NFT launch takes into consideration the pageant’s enhanced safety precautions related to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, which RedFOX Labs has used as an opportunity to launch a bonus component in the NFT collection launch: the Ms. RFOX competition.
As the latest addition to the Miss Universe Philippines NFT Collection, the Ms. RFOX competition will showcase the final 30 pageant contestants in custom RedFOX sportswear. During the Miss Universe Philippines Coronation Night, one of the contestants will win the Ms. RFOX title and a $2,000 reward, which will go to her chosen charity.
The popularity of Miss Universe Philippines can't be understated. The Philippines have dominated beauty competitions globally for decades and the contest in the Philippines still ranks as one of the most anticipated annually by the country’s 108 million residents, with the pageant itself garnering more than 1 million followers on social media and more than 400,000 avid viewers every year.
With the launch of the Miss Universe Philippines NFT Collection, RedFOX Labs is expanding the pageant’s reach to new frontiers in the digital world, particularly NFTs, which are the latest trend in the technology world and are currently experiencing phenomenal growth. Global NFT sales grew from just $94.86 million in 2020 to $2.47 billion in just the first half of 2021, representing growth of more than 2600% with significantly more sales to come.
Ben Fairbank, CEO, and Co-founder of RedFOX Labs commented:
